Japanese language courses are a requirement for all JSP students. The intensive Japanese language courses are opportunities to enhance your skills through small class sizes offering better student-teacher interaction and focus than most university courses. Classes run 3 hours in the morning, 4 days a week.
Courses are offered at four different levels of Japanese, from beginner to high intermediate.
|Course Title||Approximate Course Level||Credits|
|Japanese Language Course A||JLPT N5 (Lower Beginner)||8 credits|
|Japanese Language Course B||JLPT N4 (Upper Beginner)||8 credits|
|Japanese Language Course C||JLPT N3 (Lower Intermediate)||8 credits|
|Japanese Language Course D||JLPT N2 (Upper Intermediate)||8 credits|
Combined with a homestay and other tutoring services available on campus, your language ability will advance rapidly and comprehensively. Students already possessing advanced Japanese-language abilities can elect to take higher-level Japanese language classes as well as external courses taught in Japanese. These courses are only available in the spring semester.
